BIOGRAPHY
BS: Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ MD: University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, MN Residency: Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC Cardiology Fellowship: University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY Board Certified: Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease Dr. McFarland joined Carolina Cardiology in July 2004 after completing a cardiology fellowship at the University of Kentucky.
A clinical cardiologist, Dr. McFarland's professional interests include invasive cardiology, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and cardiac CT angiography.
Since childhood, Dr. McFarland has devoted many hours to community service, and plans to continue that family tradition here in the triad. In the clinic, Dr. McFarland's philosophy in treating patients is to, ''Treat people like I would want my mother treated.''
Dr. McFarland will care for patients primarily at offices in High Point, Thomasville and Lexington. She currently has medical staff affiliations at High Point Regional Hospital, Lexington Memorial Hospital, Randoloph Hospital and Thomasville Medical Center.
Dr. McFarland is married, enjoys playing competitive tennis, watching her beloved Minnesota Vikings, and playing with their dog Diom.
