BIOGRAPHY
BS: Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania MD: University of Pennsylvania Medical School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Residency: George Washington University Hospital, Washington, District of Columbia Cardiology Fellowship: George Washington University Hospital, Washington, District of Columbia Board Certified: Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology Dr. Rohrbeck is a founding member of Carolina Cardiology Associates. His training includes extensive experience in heart attack therapy with participation in major trials of clot dissolving and balloon angioplasty since 1985. He was one of the core lab angiographers for the GUSTO international trial. Dr. Rohrbeck is the medical director of the Heartstrides program and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Carolina Regional Heart Center. Professional focus: Interventional cardiology stents, angioplasty, atherectomy, and acute MI treatment. Dr. Rohrbeck was the first in High Point to implant a stent (1992), a coated-stent (2003) and the first to do directional atherectomy.
His personal interests include bicycling, running, golfing and attending Penn State football games.
