BIOGRAPHY
MBBS/MD: Medical College, Amritsar and Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India Residency: University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky Presbyterian-University Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Cardiology Fellowships: Presbyterian-University Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USPHS Hospital, Staten Island, New York (Research Fellowship) Board Certified: Internal Medicine, Cardiology Dr. Dhatt founded Asheboro Cardiology in 1978 and was the President at its merger with Carolina Cardiology in 2007. He has authored and co-authored many scientific papers on cardiovascular disease. He has served as Chief of Medical Staff and Chief of Medicine at Randolph Hospital and is currently the Medical Director of the Cardiopulmonary Department and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and is Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee at Randolph Hospital. Dr. Dhatt has served on the boards of directors for many organizations in Asheboro and Randolph County. He currently serves on the board of trustees of the United Way of Randolph County Foundation, is the Chairman of Community Service Committee of Randolph Rotary and is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
Professional focus: Cardiac consultations, echocardiography, stress tests, holter and cardiac event monitoring. Special areas of interest include primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, congestive heart failure and community education
Dr. Dhatt and his wife live in Asheboro. They have three children. During his spare time Dr. Dhatt involves himself in community service and enjoys golf and tennis.
