Dr. Ernest Gumprecht

BIOGRAPHY
BA: The Kings College, Briarcliff Manor, New York MD: University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, Washington Residency: University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey: Rutgers Medical School, Newark, New Jersey Cardiology Fellowship: Mid-America Heart Institute, Kansas City, Missouri Board Certified: Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology Dr. Gumprecht is a native of north Idaho in the Rocky Mountains. He started the first invasive cardiac lab in north Idaho, performing the first cardiac cath, intra-aortic balloon pumps there. Dr. Gumprecht also practiced in Spokane, Washington before relocating to North Carolina.
Professional focus: Interventional cardiology, pacemaker implants and follow up, Trans-esophageal echo and comprehensive general cardiology.
Dr. Gumprecht's outside interests include lay church ministry and Christian apologetics in conjunction with his wife and family, golf, astronomy and the history of space exploration, chess, and playing bass guitar and trombone.
His current hospital affiliations include: High Point Regional Hospital, Lexington Memorial Hospital, Randolph Hospital, and Thomasville Medical Center.
